Tea Time Flower Coasters

Happy Free Pattern Tuesday (that due to extenuating circumstances in on a Wednesday) Everyone!


Today I am sharing something cute and simple that will add the perfect crafter vibe to your home or office or even make the cutest gift!

I love seeing handmade things displayed in homes! Quilts, hand stitched pillows, doilies and even seeing a meal made with love are all beautiful expressions of “home”. There is something special that happens in our hearts when we make something for others to take joy in.


These little crochet flower coasters are the perfect thing to display on your coffee table! They will show your family and friends that you made something special just for them to enjoy!

You can make these in endless colors! Muted, brights, multi colored; whatever you would like that screams you!

I made them in a very classic color. HOT PINK! One thing you will soon know about me…. if you haven’t notice already…. I’m a huge fan of the color pink!



What you will need:

– 1 ball/95 yds of Lily Sugar’n Cream yarn (I used the color HOT PINK) or similar #4/ worsted weight yarn (A cotton based yarn is best because it will withstand the test of time!)
-4.5mm/7 crochet hook
-Tapestry needle to weave in ends

Abbreviations (US Terminology):
-Ch(s): chain(s)
-Sc: single crochet
-St(s): stitch(es)
-Dc: Double crochet
-Sl St: Slip Stitch

Ch 6, Sl St in first Ch to join.

Row 1: Ch 3 (this will count as 1 Dc), 14 Dc in circle, Sl St to top of ch-3 to join.

Row 2: Ch 3, Dc in next Dc, Ch 2, *Dc in next 2 Dc, Ch 2*, Repeat from * until end, Sl St to top of ch-3 to join.

Row 3: Sl St into next Dc, Sl St into first ch-2 space. Ch 3, Dc, ch 2, 2 Dc (in ch 2 space), *2 Dc, Ch 2, 2 Dc (in ch 2 space)*, repeat from * until end, Sl St to top on ch-3 to join.

Row 4: Sl Sr into next Dc, Sl St into first ch-2 space. Ch 3, 4 Dc in ch 2 space, skip 2 Dc, Sc. *5 dc in Ch-2 space. skip 2 Dc Sc* repeat from * until last Ch-2 space. In last Ch-2 space, 5 Dc, skip 2 dc, Sc, Sl St to top on ch-3 to join. Tie off.

Weave in ends and enjoy!
